Safe, Secure and Prosperous: A Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland

Daniel Sellers, contracted to Scottish Government, will introduce the Scottish Government’s approach to cyber resilience, and will outline the new strategy’s aspirations for education and skills, setting the context for the event.

Cyber Resilience – Whose Problem Is It?

Kerry will briefly discuss some of the cyber resilience awareness campaigns and the resources available for organisations to develop the basic cyber skills of their stakeholders and staff, she will also lead a discussion with the audience to draw out examples of good practice within the further and higher education sector.

Cyber Crime – Its Time Has Come

Cyber resilience has been on the agenda at Dundee and Angus for some time, although has generally been seen as something for IT to worry about. Kris’ presentation will outline the broad approach to cyber resilience that has been adopted by Dundee and Angus and will identify some of the issues that have arisen when engaging staff and students in the dialogue.

In his presentation Keith will outline the evolution of the cyber threat describing the disparate threat actors and the environment they operate and the significant opportunities the digital world provides them to exploit individuals, businesses, governments and nations.
